The gennaker, is a sail on a furling system used in light wind, may be more...

Originally developped for multihulls and competitive sailing, the Gennaker is an intermediary sail (between spinnaker and genoa and correspondingly smaller in size).
This sail is used with a furling system which allows the rolling up of the sail on itself and thus makes it far more easy to use..
Attention : this sail in not meant to be used partly rolled. The Furling system should be considered as an element of storage.

Made in a heavy weight nylon, this sail enhanses your yatch performances when sailing in close hauled,in a light wind and also when sailing between 60 and 110° off the wind.

The gennaker is hoisted with the spinnaker halyard and can tacked directly on the bow if that one is cleared off the forestay and the furling drum, or can be tacked on a bowsprit.

Optional for the gennakersis a Polyester material 140gr/m², named "STORMLITE 210" from CONTENDER. This material is recommended for all gennakers with a surface over 45m², also for heavy yatchs and multihulls. This material is stiffer and substancially more stable dimensionally. It will keep the shape and form of the sail for a longer period. It is only available in three colours: Dark red, Marine blue and White.
